Britain’s Prime Minister Gordon Brown said there will not be a limit on migrant workers.  He claims migrant workers are making a “huge contribution” to the economy and country.

Brown said: “Most people in the City of London know they have benefited very substantially. Not just from the inward investment from international companies, but the number of key workers who are coming to join them and are making a huge contribution.”  In 2006, estimates of migrant workers to Britain totaled about 200,000.

Brown recently rejected a cap on non European Union immigrants, which would have meant installing a system for immigration similar to the American use of quotas.   Disagreeing with the Lords Economic Affairs Committee, Brown believes immigrants have bolstered the British economy.
